Kathy
Wright, R.N. has actively practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1982 as a Registered Nurse for over 15 years. Her
experience is extensive and multidimensional. After
she earned her degree in nursing, she worked in the
critical care units of Sequoia Hospital for 2 years.
In
1985, she joined the plastic surgery practice
of Jaroy Weber, M.D., launching her plastic surgery
nursing career. Her association with Dr. Weber
enabled her to become intimately involved in patient
care as an RN First Assistant in the operating
room and as a clinical office nurse. This 3-year
position prepared her for the transition to the
Operating Room at Sequoia Hospital.
Kathy
knows challenge and success. Her career path has
included assisting with the development of a medical
start-up company, obtaining a patent for an orthopedic
medical device, and extensive traveling to train
and educate health care professionals in her innovations.
In
1992, she joined Donald Laub, MD, a prestigious
plastic surgeon in Palo Alto. It was with Dr.
Laub that Kathy gained her expertise in skin care,
as a Collagen and Botox Injection Specialist,
counseling patients in The Obagi Skin Fitness
Program and performing Jessner's Peels. Her training
in permanent makeup tattooing was by Sally Hayes
of Scottsdale, Arizona. Kathy's advanced training
came from Alexis Lawson, founder of the worldwide
Softap method. Kathy has trained many students across the country in the art of permanent makeup tattooing.
In 1998, Kathy started her own business in the offices of many prominent surgeons and dermatologists in the Bay Area, including Dr’s Howard Sutkin and Timothy Weibel (Los Gatos), Dr. Samuel Pearl (Mt. View), Dr. Donald Laub (Palo Alto), Dr. Jane Weston (Atherton), Dr. Bruce Maltz and Dr.Lorne Rosenfield (Burlingame). She provided the services of areola and permanent makeup tattooing, dermal filler injections and deep skin peels.
Upon Dr. Laubs’ retirement in 2001, Kathy joined Dr. Seung Kim and continued working with Dr. Rosenfield in Burlingame.
Kathy has researched skin care over the past ten years and carries a skin care line that is simple, highly effective, but affordable. She joins the top 5% of injection specialists across the nation who has earned platinum status in Botox and Restylane sales.
As
a founding member of the Society of Plastic Surgical
Skin Care Specialists, Kathy devotes herself to
continued education and ongoing professional growth.
She is a member of the National Cosmetic Tattoo
Association and donates her time to Interplast,
Inc., a non-profit organization that provides
the gift of gratis medical care and surgery to
those less fortunate throughout the world. Her
tours have taken her to Vietnam, Central America,
and South America. |
